I feel honored to present the very first guest recipe on M’s small kitchen website. To be honest, I could still count on a lot of support by the chef de cuisine. 🙂 These chocolate muffins are best to enjoy freshly from the oven, when their chocolate melting core is still waiting in the hearts of these little treasures.
Ingredients
- 200 g flour
- 1½ teaspoon baking powder
- ½ teaspoon salt
- 6 tablespoon cocoa powder
- 90 g butter
- 170 g dark chocolate chunks
- 150 g sugar
- 1 egg
- 1 package of vanilla sugar
- 250 ml milk
Recipe
Mix most of the dry ingredients (flour, baking powder, salt, cocoa powder, dark chocolate) in a big bowl. Add the butter, which should be at room temperature, in small cubes und mix it in.
Take a second bowl and mix sugar, vanilla sugar, egg and milk and mix it well. Then gradually add this mixture to all the other ingredients and combine everything to get a homogenous dough. Don’t mix to hard otherwise the dough gets gummy.
Fill the dough into little muffin papers and bake for approx. 7 minutes* at 180°C. If you like, you can sprinkle some icing sugar after baking.

*If you are going to use the regular size muffin papers, the baking time is approx. 12-14 minutes.
